The second annual Best of Puerto Vallarta Gays, an award contest that allows individuals to nominate and vote on their favorite things in Puerto Vallarta, will be held on Feb. 27, 2025 at Industry Nightclub from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event will be hosted by Singer Alison Lo and Chaka Paradise from Kiki House Of Paradise. Alison will present in English and Chaka in Spanish.
The awards are the brainchild of local entrepreneur Jet De La Isla, who is also founder of the Facebook group “New Puerto Vallarta Gays Everything You Need or Want to Know.”
A committee consisting of Philip Weir, Alison Lo and John Ramsey vetted the nominations and voting process and will be soon announcing the top three nominees in the 35 categories.
“More than 1,300 people voted this year and we had an amazing nomination period,” De La Isla said. “This year we also shortened the categories and formed the committee to help with the nomination and voting process.”
The theme at the awards show will be “black and gold.”
“Dress to impress,” Jet said. “We will have some time for networking, cocktails and photos starting at 6 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony. This is a great event to celebrate the vast local talent that we have in the community – join us as we come together and recognize the best of the best of 2024.”
