Puerto Vallarta and dozens of its hotels, resorts and restaurants are seeking support from travelers and readers worldwide after receiving multiple nominations in the 2026 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. Readers can cast their votes through the official Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards voting page.
The destination has consistently ranked among the publication’s top travel picks in recent years. In the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards, Puerto Vallarta was named the No. 2 “Best Small City in the World” and the top-ranked city in Mexico, based on votes from more than 750,000 readers worldwide.
Puerto Vallarta’s tourism industry has also received recognition in previous editions of the awards, with local hotels and resorts frequently appearing on Condé Nast Traveler’s lists of top places to stay in Mexico and Latin America. Playa Los Muertos was also highlighted among readers’ favorite beaches in the world in the publication’s 2025 rankings.
The annual awards, organized by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, recognize top travel destinations and hospitality businesses around the world through an open public vote. Voting remains open through June 30, with winners scheduled to be announced online in October and in the magazine’s November 2026 issue.
Puerto Vallarta was nominated in the destination categories for both city and beaches, while Playa Los Muertos also received recognition.
