With music, lights, and a celebratory atmosphere, the Jalisco state government led by Pablo Lemus Navarro, in coordination with the administration of local Mayor Luis Munguía González, bid farewell to 2025 with the event “New Year, Jalisco Style.” Held at the Puerto Vallarta Malecón, thousands of people gathered to celebrate the beginning of 2026.
The night kicked off with performances by Mariachi Internacional CHG and Zona Kumbia, who energized the crowd leading up to midnight. Before the countdown, Luis Munguía González delivered a message welcoming visitors to the destination and sharing well-wishes for health, prosperity, and development for Puerto Vallarta.
As midnight arrived, the countdown united thousands of voices, giving way to a fireworks and drone show that illuminated the Malecón sky. The drones formed symbolic figures marking the start of 2026 amidst applause, cheers, and embraces.
Following the start of the new year, the party continued with an international DJ set by The Blaze, which electrified the atmosphere and kept the crowd gathered by the sea. The performance closed the night as one of the celebration’s major highlights, reaffirming Puerto Vallarta’s status as a premier festive tourist destination.
Although the heart of the New Year’s celebration was the Malecón, festivities spread across the entire Banderas Bay, as crowds enjoyed fireworks at various locations such as the Los Muertos Beach Pier, the South Coast, the Hotel Zone, and the neighboring state of Nayarit to the north of the bay.
