The Puerto Vallarta government is ready to offer citizens a large-scale entertainment program for the New Year’s Eve 2025 festivities. Events will take place in the city center, specifically on the Malecón, where a stage has been set up near the Lighthouse (El Faro).
The program includes the traditional fireworks display, which for the second consecutive year will be accompanied by a drone light show. Music is a must, and this year features performances by Mariachi CHG, Sonora Song Cumbia, and a special appearance by the renowned French DJ, The Blaze. Entry is free, and festivities begin at 7:30 p.m.
TRAFFIC ALERT: New Year’s Eve Road Closures
Heading out to celebrate tonight? Please be aware of the following traffic changes starting at 5:00 p.m. today:
- Road Closure: Calle Morelos will be closed at the intersection with Calle Corona.
- Diversion: All traffic will be diverted to Calle Juárez, which will temporarily operate with two-way traffic.
- Public Transport: Buses heading toward the city center will end their routes and be diverted at the intersection of Perú and Panamá streets (near the Ley supermarket).
Plan your route ahead of time and drive safely!
First Sunset Festival
The local government has additionally announced the inaugural “First Sunset” festival at the Palmares public beach club (south of the city). The event will take place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM. It will feature DJ I.am.Nãda, providing the soundtrack to enjoy the sun, the beach, and a phenomenal atmosphere—perfect for starting the year with positive energy.
Organized by the administration of Luis Munguía, the event will include surprises and live music, extending throughout the afternoon to conclude with an impressive sunset view from this privileged spot on the bay. Entry is free.
