From Drag Brunch to Bottomless Mimosas – Many Options for Fabulous Fun
If you’re looking for a fabulous gay brunch while in Puerto Vallarta, you have several great options, each with their own special twist that may encourage you to try them all.
Casa Cupula (#129 Callejon de la Igualdad Puerto Vallarta, JAL 48399) offers their big gay brunch every Sunday (and we hear rumor that it will soon expand to Saturday), with two seatings (10 a.m. to Noon or Noon to 2 p.m.) for $599 pesos.
Included is a line up of various entertainment performing around the pool, a huge breakfast buffet spread and a mimosa. It’s one of the best deals you’ll find for a buffet with drag entertainment and other excellent entertainers.

La Capella Restaurant ( C. Miramar 363 B, Centro, 48300 Puerto Vallarta, Jal.) has brought back it’s popular weekend brunch, and this year it’s hosted by Kevin Anthony. If you’ve brunched at La Capella before, expect higher prices and a few changes this year.
The price is now $699 pesos per person (it was $499 pesos per person) with two seatings – one at 10 and the other at Noon (seating starts at 9:30 a.m.). Reservations are required. In the past you could order your main entree off the menu and have a host of sides and desserts from the buffet. With the price change you can no longer order off the main menu, as they have expanded the buffet to include entrees.

This will be the first year that Kevin Anthony has hosted brunch at La Capella. Anthony is a former Broadway star who now makes his home in Puerto Vallarta. He’s a busy man – he’s also a real estate agent – and has produced not only his own shows at Act2PV and Incanto, he has also produced several other artists’ shows and performed in 28 countries. The man is an amazing performer. He will be joined at La Capella by the occasional guest artists.
His special guest artist for the Nov. 12, 2023 Sunday brunch is Alberto Cuevas known as “El Diamente”. El Diamante is a local Artist with an International appeal. A semi-finalist in LA VOZ MEXICO, Cuevas competed and won in a semifinal round that aired on June 17, 2023.

New this year for Sunday Brunch is Di Vino Dante (Basilio Badillo 269A, above Galleria Dante. ) – opening at 10 a.m. for Brunch, with mimosas 2 x 1 from 10 a.m. to Noon. This brunch is a la carte, and not a buffet.
La Tienda Grande also offers an a la carte brunch, every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are encouraged as it is a small space and fills up quickly.
You can also find a wonderful breakfast on the beach at Daiquiri Dick’s on the beach. Check their social media and website for any specials they may have.
Masame PV (Av. Viena 200 48310 Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico) is open everyday (except Wednesday) for breakfast, including weekend brunch from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
