Puerto Vallarta is set to welcome approximately 40,000 visitors from around the globe to the region’s most prominent LGBTQ+ event, Vallarta Pride 2025.
This year’s celebration will take place from May 17 to 25, under the theme “The Future Has No Gender”, offering a diverse array of activities spanning culture, art, health, and sports.
At a press conference at Industry on Feb. 25 2025, the complete event schedule was unveiled.
Below are the highlights for each day:
• Saturday, May 17: The festivities kick off with the March Against Homophobia and for Trans and Non-Binary Visibility, followed by the photographic exhibition “No Future Without Memory” at the Office of Cultural Projects (OPC).
• Sunday, May 18: The International Film Festival presents a gala featuring screenings of films significant to the LGBTQ+ community.
• Monday, May 19: The day begins with the Pet Parade on the Malecón, a family-friendly event celebrating diversity. In the evening, Industri will host the MetaBall, an international ball for voguing enthusiasts.
• Wednesday, May 21: The annual Pink Dinner, a fundraising event, will take place at sea, offering a unique dining experience.
• Thursday, May 22: The centerpiece of Vallarta Pride, the Pride Parade, will traverse the city’s main streets, culminating in a vibrant Block Party in the Romantic Zone.
• Friday, May 23: Púlpito Street will host the entertaining Drag Derby Rally, showcasing local drag talent in various challenges.
• Sunday, May 25: The celebration concludes with the Rainbow Run, promoting inclusion through sports, and an art auction featuring works by local and international artists.
Throughout the week, a beach volleyball tournament will take place, alongside activities focused on health, education, and activism. The organizing committee highlighted that this edition of Vallarta Pride has made significant political strides, achieving representation in the Chamber of Deputies, the Mexican Ministry of Economy, and the embassies of France and the United States.
