Food & Adventures Through the Eyes of a Throuple
Part 3
Join us as we wander, taste, laugh, and love—three hearts, one adventure, savoring life’s sweetest flavors together.
The First Anniversary… Well, the First Month Anniversary
Who knew one month could change everything? The night before our very first trip together, we found ourselves sipping departing cocktails at Margarita Grill—because, honestly, who doesn’t love margaritas in Vallarta? Mau lifted his glass and said they were “the perfect ode to Mexico,” especially on the eve of our first adventure to Mexico City… or as we like to call it, our First Month Anniversary.
Whether it was timing, chemistry, or the alignment of the stars, the trip unfolded like magic. The Sheraton María Isabel upgraded us in honor of our little celebration, gifting us a room overlooking the iconic Ángel de la Independencia. Each morning we woke to that golden monument glowing against the city skyline—an elegant reminder of where Mau once called home.
Little did he know that Jamie, once a New Yorker, and Josh, with nearly a decade in Toronto, would instantly fall in love with the big-city energy. We cycled through bustling streets, wandered through Roma and Condesa, stumbled into boutiques, cafes, bookstores—and somewhere between the city lights and the shared laughter, we all felt it.
A quiet, certain knowing.
From that moment on, the 27th became our day—a date to honor what we were building: something rare, something intentional, something deeply ours.
The Day for Lovers
Valentine’s Day arrived with the kind of sweetness that doesn’t need grand gestures, just the right company. Josh crafted the perfect picnic—finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, veggies, and a bottle of champagne ready to pop. Mau arrived with a bouquet from Flowers to Go, and together we headed to Playa Los Muertos with our basket, bag, and blanket in tow.
The sky was slightly overcast, but the air felt warm with romance. As we uncorked the champagne (sending the cork flying halfway across the beach—thankfully hitting neither human, bird, nor pigeon), Mau poured us each a glass, and we settled into the moment: hands intertwined, soft kisses exchanged, the ocean humming its quiet approval.
Then came the gifts. Jamie handed each of them a small box—Josh’s disguised as candies, Mau’s tucked inside a chocolate box. Inside, resting gently, was a necklace with a pendant, handcrafted by Albertos Jewelry Designs, with the triquetra, the Celtic symbol of three. A symbol of unity. Of intertwined paths. Of a love shared equally between us.
It was simple. It was meaningful. It was us.
The Event of the Season

By March 1st, we’d been together just over two months—sharing countless meals, shows, and small everyday joys—but the PVRPV 20th Anniversary Event would be our first major event out as a throuple.
Preparing for it felt like a glimpse into how naturally we worked as a team. Jamie, with his designer’s eye, fine-tuned the décor and ambiance. Josh, drawing on his years as an interior stylist, helped stage the space with intention and flair. And Mau—once a chef—spent hours juicing what felt like a hundred pounds of limes while organizing the back kitchen for the caterers.
We were effortless in tandem, each of us contributing our strengths, weaving together a shared effort that felt… complete.
Walking into the event, we wondered how we’d be received among coworkers, clients, and hundreds of guests. The answer? With warmth. With acceptance. With genuine joy. We posed for photos, shared meaningful conversations, and made new friends—together.
And in those moments—hands brushing, glances exchanged, smiles widening—we understood something profound.
This “together” thing?
It was coming together beautifully.
