Jorge’s Bar marked its first year in business on Friday, November 28, 2025, celebrating with music, cocktails and a full house of regulars and visitors in Plaza Romy.
Owner Jorge Gonzalez, a longtime bartender in Puerto Vallarta, opened the intimate neighborhood bar last November with the goal of creating a welcoming space for locals and tourists alike. One year later, he says the response has exceeded expectations.
“We wanted a place where everyone feels at home,” Gonzalez said. “Seeing people return again and again is the best reward.”
Jorge’s Bar quickly developed its own identity as a laid-back alternative with friendly service, colorful decor and a strong sense of community. Its small size has become part of its charm, attracting patrons who prefer conversation, cocktails and a neighborhood atmosphere over loud crowds.
