Ludõ, the new, original show from the Quebec-based circus company Cirque Du Soleil, is set for its premiere on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Vidanta resort complex in Nuevo Vallarta, Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, following several years of anticipation.
This opening is a major step in the first phase of the Vidanta World project, an ambitious entertainment and theme park complex designed to be the largest in Latin America. Vidanta World integrates world-class attractions, gourmet dining, championship golf, and aquatic experiences.
The collaboration between Vidanta and Cirque du Soleil is not new. They previously partnered to create JOYÀ in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, which blends dining and performance in an intimate setting. The expansion of this partnership to Vidanta World Nuevo Vallarta underscores Vidanta’s commitment to providing high-end, exclusive entertainment. The overall Vidanta World development is part of Grupo Vidanta, which operates a portfolio of luxury resorts and vacation experiences across Mexico.
The ‘Ludõ’ Show and Venue
For the Ludõ production, Vidanta has constructed a custom-built theater featuring high-level technology. The venue has a seating capacity of approximately 600 people and includes a unique 360-degree aquatic stage and wraparound aquarium.
Ludõ is an immersive, water-inspired show centered on themes of life and water. It features original live music, gravity-defying acrobatics, and visual effects that combine water elements with lighting. It is billed as a multisensory theatrical and gastronomic experience, with the dining integral to the show’s narrative.
In addition to the show, guests visiting the theater complex can enjoy a nearby theme park area that offers an artificial lake with fountain and lighting effects, as well as themed boutiques related to the new production.
