On Monday, November 17, 2025, the Zona Romántica Vietnamese restaurant Let’s Pho marked its third anniversary not just with a special service, but with a commitment to community: donating a 25% of the day’s sales to the Casa Esperanza women’s shelter.

For Charlie Huynh, the owner and chef behind Let’s Pho, the restaurant’s foundation is built on gratitude. Upon moving to Puerto Vallarta, Huynh was deeply touched by the warm welcome he received, an experience he often cites as a key reason he cherishes the city.
“When Charlie decided to bring the flavors of Vietnam to Puerto Vallarta by opening Let’s Pho, he felt a profound sense of gratitude for the supportive community,” explained the restaurant’s manager, Erick Contreras. Recognizing the importance of reciprocating that warmth, Huynh has consistently sought ways to contribute positively to the city that embraced him.
Supporting Women in Need
Let’s Pho has established an annual tradition of celebrating its milestones by supporting local non-profits. While their past anniversary initiatives often benefited organizations like the children’s home RISE, this year, the focus shifted to a critical need within the community.
“Our third anniversary is benefiting Casa Esperanza women’s shelter. We raised around seven thousand pesos, 25% of our total restaurant sale. It’s most likely it will end in ten thousand pesos because my boss and restaurant owner Charlie is also supporting this cause,” manager Erick Contreras explained.
Contreras attributes the restaurant’s three years of success not only to its food and community efforts but also to the dedicated team behind the counter.
“We are very happy and thankful to the clients, friends and family who have supported us in these three years,” he shared. “We’re always trying to innovate, help the community and try to make things with passion and joy. We care about our staff, the majority has from two to three years in the restaurant, being a key part of this achievement.”
The success Let’s Pho has found in Vallarta has even permitted the business to expand its reach. The restaurant has branched out, opening new locations in Guadalajara and Ajijic, with the latter branch having opened just two weeks ago.
