Awaysis Bar & Restaurant will host two music-focused events during Vallarta Pride week, bringing together punk rock, drag performances and women-centered entertainment across Memorial Day weekend in Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romántica.
The venue’s “Punk Rock Pride” event is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, featuring live performances by Muñecas, a San Francisco-based punk band fronted by Tamale, and The Dirties, a local rock band led by Diego Guerrero. The event will also include DJ sets by Yeen N Tonic and drag performances by Wendy Warhol.
Doors open at 3 p.m., with music and performances continuing through the evening. Admission is 100 pesos.
The Saturday lineup begins with DJ Yeen N Tonic at 4 p.m., followed by Wendy Warhol at 4:50 p.m. Muñecas takes the stage at 5 p.m., with The Dirties scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Additional DJ sets and drag performances will continue throughout the night.
The weekend continues Sunday, May 24, with the venue’s annual “Women’s Pride Party,” a no-cover event highlighting female musicians and performers.
Sunday’s lineup includes Eva & Losanna at 3 p.m., Las Mambas at 4:30 p.m., and a collaborative set featuring Kim Archer, Stolie and Big Molly at 6:30 p.m. Sylvie & The Zippers will close the evening beginning at 8 p.m. Organizers said surprise guest performers are also expected.
Both events will offer a full food menu throughout the day and evening.
