Nine Entertainers Compete for Top Spot at RISE Finale

The Grand Finale of “So You Think You Can RISE?” will be the ultimate showdown, bringing together the top performers as nine finalists are ready to take the stage and compete for the top prize. 

It all happens on Sunday, February 23 at 7 PM, Teatro Vallarta, with the winner taking home a $20,000 pesos cash prize and a performance slot at a local entertainment venue. 

Finalists include Danza Cerro, a traditional Mexican dance troupe; Natalia Juliet Morales Larson, a pianist; F91, a contemporary dance group; Nicolas Lara, an accordionist; and vocalists Warren Wesley Weir, Vinzente Canas, Mitch Kusher, and Jason Mathis. Additionally, thanks to the Golden Buzzer, Gibran Torres Alvarez, a talented pianist, has been given a second chance to compete in the finale.

These contestants have been coached by Maru Prado Conti, Kevin Anthony, Roy Cruz, Luis Villanueva, Kimberly LaRue, Tromba Vetusta, Steven Retchless, and Derek Carkner.

Nacho Granados and Jessy Ruiz will host the final event, with tickets priced from: gallery seats are $600 pesos, premier seats are $900 pesos, and VIP tickets $1,200 pesos.

The VIP experience includes early entry, an exclusive pre-show featuring the 2024 winners, a complimentary welcome drink and a special treat at their seat, courtesy of local favorites like Itamar, Let’s Pho PV Vietnamese Kitchen, XOCODIVA, Americana Sports Bar & Grill, and Pepe and Charlie Private Chefs.

Tickets can be purchased online or in person at Coco Cabaret from Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Ask for Leila.

The event is an annual fund raiser for RISE (Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza), which has been home to hundreds of children since 2001. Children come to RISE from DIF (Child Protective Services), but DIF is unable to provide any financial support. RISE is 100% privately funded through donations and fundraisers.
