A heartwarming display of community support unfolded at Casita & Garden, where a fundraising show raised a significant amount of money for Perez Chuchin’s medical expenses.
The collective effort proved fruitful, surpassing expectations. The show raised a total of $23,920 pesos and $1,717 USD. And an amazing $13,257 USD (out of a $15,000 goal) has been collected at a GoFundMe account that Sutton Lee Seymour has established. You can donate to that fund here.
Organized by Mama Tits and Sutton Lee Seymour, the event featured an impressive lineup of local talents including Diego Guerrero, Derek Carkner, Karma La Perra, and many more. The evening not only raised funds but also showcased the vibrant artistic spirit of Puerto Vallarta.
“The fundraiser show went amazingly well,” said Brian Peters (Mama Tits). “Thanks to all the performers, Casita & Garden for hosting us, and everyone who came out to support Alberto with their donations.”
Money raised will go towards Perez Chuchin’s medical treatments for extensive 2nd and 3rd degree burns. On June 18 Chuchin was moved from Puerto Vallarta’s Regional Medical Center to Hospital MultiMedica, where Seymour said he was receiving good treatment.
“This amazing community really does show up for those in need and it’s beautiful,” Brian remarked, highlighting the generosity and compassion of Puerto Vallarta residents.
