Tryst Hospitality is introducing Tryst Fitness, a new luxury gym and wellness brand. The first location is set to open in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, by summer 2026. This launch establishes a new, elevated fitness option for the global LGBTQ+ community in a key destination.
The inaugural Tryst Fitness location will operate on the same block as Tryst Puerto Vallarta in the heart of Zona Romántica. It combines a luxury gym experience with a community-focused spirit.
This past summer the hotel purchased properties at the corner of Amapas & Pulpito, in order to add space for the gym, a small market, a lap pool and luxury spa. The corner lot use to house several businesses including a restaurant (116 Pulpito), a Kiosko and the Villamercedes Petit Hotel.
“Tryst Fitness will be the most elevated gym experience in Puerto Vallarta,” said Tristan Schukraft, founder of Tryst Hospitality. “It is a gym created for our community and built to the level of luxury we want when we travel.”
Facility Details in Puerto Vallarta
The facility spans nearly 11,000 square feet and focuses on fitness, recovery, and enjoyment. Key features include:
- Outdoor Spaces: Floor-to-ceiling windows open to the air, an outdoor workout deck, and a rooftop lap pool—the only dedicated lap pool in Puerto Vallarta.
- Training Floor: Includes strength, cardio, and functional training zones.
- Wet Area: An expansive 3,000 square foot area featuring a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, Turkish baths, and a full spa.
Amenities include products from Grown Alchemist, towel service, private changing areas, and fully air-conditioned interiors.
Neighborhood Investment
As part of the development, the Tryst Hospitality team is upgrading local infrastructure along Púlpito Street. This includes burying utilities for the entire block and leveling the sidewalk to improve the walkable experience for the Amapas neighborhood.
Adjacent to the gym, Tryst Hospitality will open a 1,100+ square foot convenience store. This shop will serve locals, hotel guests, and gym members with healthy grab-and-go items, fresh produce, premium liquor, and essentials.
Tryst Fitness Puerto Vallarta is scheduled to open in 2026 at Púlpito 116, Zona Romántica, Amapas.
