The charity concert “Toys & Tunes,” is returning for its second year to collect toys and essential baby supplies for children residing in local foster homes in Puerto Vallarta.
Organized by Memo Pearls, Ian Jáuregui, and Samuel Bellmosc, the event will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at ACT2 PV, just a few days before Three Kings’ Day (January 6), which is a tradition in Mexico to give gifts to the children in every family.
The initiative was sparked by local DJ Memo Pearls through his project, The Doors Sessions, which began in the summer of 2024 to support local artists, particularly DJs. This effort quickly grew into a desire to help the broader Puerto Vallarta community, focusing on children who might not receive gifts during the festive season. Thus, “Toys & Tunes” was born, motivating donations through various collection points and a vibrant musical show.
The first edition, held in December 2024, was a great success, collecting approximately 300 toys and baby supplies for two local children’s homes: RISE (Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza) and Máximo Cornejo. Admission was free for attendees who donated a toy, and the event featured generous performances from artists like Sharon Gerber Scherer, David Maiocco, Gabriela Heart, Delilah Beaucoup, and Kirsten Raccuia, who donated their time and talent. Local sponsors, including Los Muertos Brewing, Dada Café, and Cassandra Shaw Jewelry, also provided gift certificates.
Volume 2: Aiming Higher
The second edition on January 4, 2026, seeks to surpass the previous goal, with a target to collect over 300 items. The evening will kick off with a reception at the ACT2 bar area at 7 p.m., followed by the main show on the Main Stage at 8 p.m.
Entry to the event is based on bringing a new toy or a baby supply item (diapers, wet wipes, or a cash donation).
All attendees will receive a raffle ticket to participate in drawings held throughout the evening, featuring prizes donated by event sponsors. Prizes include show tickets from Coco Cabaret, The Palm, and ACT2 PV, as well as gift certificates from local favorites like Dada Cafe, Los Muertos Brewing, Greasy Gourmet restaurant, and Cassandra Shaw Jewelry. Discounts from Perfect Teeth Dental Clinic (Bucerias) will also be raffled off.
“Thank you to the people who bring toys to provide a better holiday for the less fortunate and to our sponsors for the small incentives to reward others”, Samuel, one of the organizers said.
