The Colectivo Creadores Escénicos de Puerto Vallarta (Scenic Creators Collective of Puerto Vallarta), in collaboration with local authorities and private sponsors, has officially launched the call for entries for the first edition of Puerto Vallarta Theater Showcase, to take place from March 20-29, 2026, to commemorate World Theater Day.
The event aims to promote and disseminate local theatrical productions, offering a vital platform for Puerto Vallarta’s scenic artists to display their talent and creativity.
The official presentation was held at the performing arts center Plataforma 322, where the artistic community and media gathered for the announcement. The launch event featured engaging fragments of theatrical scenes and a special musical performance by Reydan Quezada, singer for the group “Nacidos para Cantar.”
Following the artistic interventions, the board of the Colectivo Creadores Escénicos de Puerto Vallarta formally announced the details of the submission process. The board is composed of Alberto Sosa (President), Juan Pablo Hernández (Secretary), and Omar Lucian (Treasurer).

“The Theater Showcase is an opportunity for local artists to share their vision and their passion for theater with the community,” stated Alberto Sosa, President of the Collective.
Secretary Juan Pablo Hernández concluded, “We are excited; the idea is to present a diverse program that reflects the cultural richness of Puerto Vallarta.”
The event was hosted by Adriana Millán (Press and Media Commission), with active Colectivo members also in attendance, including Soledad García (Institutional Liaison), Jaime Caletti (Social Media), Ivette Monterrosas (Archives), Melissa Castillo (Training), Alejandra Pastrana (Children’s Theater), and Celeste Innocenti (Resources).
