Puerto Vallarta continues its streak of recognition on the international tourism stage, recently securing four prestigious accolades at the 2025 Travvy Awards. Considered the highest honors in the U.S. travel industry, the Travvys celebrated the Mexican Pacific destination for its outstanding appeal across multiple categories.
The four awards presented to Puerto Vallarta are:
- Best Destination in Mexico
- Best Culinary Destination in Mexico
- Best Honeymoon Destination in Mexico
- Best Tourism Office in Mexico
The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board was specifically honored with the Best Tourism Office award for its distinguished promotional work and successful global positioning efforts.
Regarding these recognitions, Luis Villaseñor, General Director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, stated, “It is another achievement of the effort that the entire tourism sector has made this year in terms of promotion with the objective of keeping the destination in the consumer’s top of mind and maintaining the flow of tourists.”
Organized by TravelPulse and AGENTatHOME, the Travvy Awards celebrate the best of global tourism. Winners are chosen by U.S. travel advisors, lending the awards significant legitimacy within the industry.
A Culinary and Romantic Getaway
The award for Best Culinary Destination in Mexico highlights the city’s unique flavor and talent. Puerto Vallarta is home to internationally renowned gastronomic events, including the International Gourmet Festival, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica, an event that draws top industry talent, including recognized Michelin-starred chefs.
Meanwhile, the title of Best Honeymoon Destination in Mexico recognizes Puerto Vallarta’s undeniable romantic charm. Its stunning natural landscapes, vibrant multicolored sunsets, and famously warm hospitality position it as an ideal setting for celebrating love.

These latest Travvy Awards victories cap off an exceptional year for Puerto Vallarta. The city has also been recognized in 2025 as:
