Playroom, the inclusive gaming bar located in the heart of the Zona Romántica, has officially extended its operating hours to introduce a brand-new morning experience. Designed for coffee lovers, remote workers seeking a chill and comfortable atmosphere, or those who want to start their day with a favorite video game and a solid breakfast, the space now transforms into a welcoming café. The space has table seating for 40+ and cozy sofas with big screen TVs.
Morning Coffee & Workspace
The café experience runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an a la carte menu and Vallarta’s first “Time Café” – a convenient hourly rate model. For a flat fee per hour, guests enjoy:
- One specialty coffee drink.
- Unlimited drip coffee, tea.
- Access to a snack bar featuring cookies, pastries, fresh fruit, and yogurt.
- High-speed internet and gaming stations, board games, card games, and air conditioning and space to store luggage and backpacks.
Hourly Rates:
- General Public: $150 MXN
- PV Residents: $120 MXN
- Playroom Members: $100 MXN
- VIP Members: $90 MXN
Daily and weekly passes are also available for those looking for a regular “work-from-playroom” routine. For those on the move, coffee and food are available for purchase to-go.
Expanded Menu & Local Flavors
Beyond the snack bar, the café offers a curated selection of breakfast items for an additional cost, including freshly made sandwiches, croissants, and baguettes. Owners Cooper and Anthony shared with Out & About PV that this expansion has been a long-term goal. The launch was made possible after finding Nataly, the ideal lead barista, and sourcing premium beans from local Mexican growers and roasters.
Evening Gaming & Nightlife
While the mornings are dedicated to coffee and productivity, Playroom’s signature bar experience and weekly event programming remain unchanged. They continue having 30+ games available to use, trading-cards, puzzles, and more! The afternoon/evening shift runs from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, featuring their popular rotation of:
- Karaoke and Dance parties
- Gaymer Nights
- Sabaqueer events
- Dungeons and Dragons campaigns
- Kink, Leather, and Social nights
- and introducing Lunes de locales
