A large crowd gathered at the Act2PV Theatre on Friday, May 24, for “PRIDE VARIETTE,” a two-hour show benefiting the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center.
The evening at Act2PV was hosted by Alexis Mateo, a superstar from RuPaul’s Drag Race, who set the tone for the night. Daniel Vives, known as “Ego,” a renowned actor in film, television, and theater, delighted audiences with two of his iconic drag characters: La Supermana and La Doñiñi, a parody of Mexican actress María Félix.
The lineup also featured singer Alberto Cuevas, “El Diamante,” who brought his amazing vocals to the stage. Adding to the excitement was the dynamic duo TrombaVetusta, composed of multidisciplinary artist Alejandra Matus and musician and clown Dabit Azofeifa, who blended performance art and music. Miss Bibi, the drag persona of actor Edgar Sánchez, added another layer of extravagance and joy. Sánchez also served as the event’s producer.
“PRIDE VARIETTE” was sponsored by PVRPV, with co-sponsor Let’s Pho. All proceeds from the show benefited the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center.
