Tapping into Puerto Vallarta’s wellness scene, SAMER SPA, a new gay-owned business, opened its doors on Saturday, June 7 2025, in Fluvial. The spa offers personalized therapeutic rituals.
Located at Lago Victoria 158, the spa is the entrepreneurial debut of Francisco Aldaco. Originally from Irapuato, Guanajuato, Aldaco moved to Puerto Vallarta five years ago to pursue a career in the wellness industry. He became a certified cosmetologist and spa therapist two years ago and has committed to annual training to stay current with new techniques and products.
Aldaco said the spa’s philosophy is to create a sanctuary that prioritizes a deeper human connection over transactional service.
“More than a spa, SAMER SPA promotes a way of life based on self-care and internal connection,” Aldaco said. “The experience becomes a personalized ritual, not just a treatment. Each visit seeks to make our guest feel seen, heard and attended to with real warmth.”
The spa’s interior reflects this ethos, with a cozy, bohemian-minimalist decor, warm lighting and relaxing aromas designed to help clients disconnect.
The opening introduces a high-end wellness option to Fluvial, a neighborhood characterized by its modern infrastructure, wide avenues and green spaces like the Parque Lineal. The area has become increasingly popular with local families and expatriates.
With a highly trained team, SAMER SPA offers a menu of professional massages, reflexology and advanced facial treatments using organic products and specialized equipment. Unique offerings, such as a “Candle Massage,” are also available. The launch comes as Puerto Vallarta solidifies its reputation as a leading international destination for both wellness and LGBTQ+ tourism.
