A new gay-focused pool club called Cheeky is set to open in November 2025 in Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romántica. The venue, currently under construction inside Casa Fierro on Venustiano Carranza Street, is being developed by local business partners and friends Erick Fierro, Brian Scott Carey, and Adam Young. Located just steps from the small vehicular tunnel in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, the club aims to offer a fresh, inclusive space for locals and visitors alike.
A Secluded, Affordable Escape
The owners envision Cheeky as the ideal spot to chill for those who prefer a more secluded, cute, inclusive, and affordable option than the beach. Guests can spend the day by the stunning green-tiled pool, surrounded by the property’s charming local courtyard: red brick walls, tropical plants, and comfy camastros (lounge chairs). The atmosphere will be peaceful, set to the sound of soft house music.
Cheeky won’t charge a cover fee, only a $300-peso minimum spend. It aims to appeal to both the local community and visitors. The pool club is gay-focused but open to the public.
“We want everyone to feel welcome here,” Erick highlights. “Guests can expect good vibes and great customer service, but still pretty affordable. Our cocktails start at just $90 pesos.”
Signature Cocktails and Poolside Bites
Cheeky’s bar will feature all the standard cocktails expected at a pool bar, plus several signature frozen drinks, such as the Frosé (frozen rosé). The bar will also offer rotating frozen specials every couple of weeks, like the Frozen Charro Negro, Frozen Tequila Sunrise, and Frozen Screwdriver.
The menu will include delicious, house-made bites such as chicken quesadillas, a turkey pesto panini, a bacon and cheddar panini, chips, fruit, and small snacks. Customers can also order food from Zona Romántica restaurants Salchidogo and Jean’s Hamburgers—where Brian is also a business partner—delivered right to their seats by sexy bartenders in speedos.
Clothing Optional & Boutique Concept
Reflecting the club’s inclusive and welcoming concept, Wednesdays and Sundays will be clothing optional, allowing guests to fully relax and feel at ease in this beautiful, private oasis. “Everybody and every body is welcome,” is one of the business mottos.
The partners are merging their professional backgrounds in hospitality, real estate, and marketing to offer an elevated service. Brian and Adam, who met in Dallas 15 years ago, invested in Puerto Vallarta real estate, where they met Erick, who was their realtor and later became a friend.
Erick, the owner of Casa Fierro, had long planned to build a pool for his rental guests. After discussing the idea with Brian and Adam in August 2025, they developed the full pool club concept.
“The experience we’re building aligns more with a boutique pool club concept versus that of a commercialized, fancy club,” Adam said. “Although we enjoy the beach, sometimes you just want a place within walking distance to recharge and escape, especially those of us who live here or visitors staying at places without a pool,” Brian concluded.

The pool club will be located at Venustiano Carranza 527, Zona Romántica, and will be open Wednesday to Monday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
