Kevin’s Hideaway, 443-A Olas Altas , held a two-year anniversary on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The celebration included a DJ and lots of high enegry as guests enjoyed their favorite drinks and people watching from the balcony overlooking Olas Altas.
Owner Kevin Porras opened Kevin’s Hideaway in July 2023 with a vision to serve standout cocktails and create a welcoming space where patrons could “chill with some of the hottest boys in Puerto Vallarta and make new friends.” The concept quickly carved out its niche in the city’s LGBTQ‑friendly nightlife scene.
Saturday’s anniversary event featured upbeat tunes, energetic atmosphere and a packed balcony where guests could sip their favorite drinks while overlooking Olas Altas. The DJ kept the energy high into the evening, blending music that matched the festive vibe of the occasion.
Kevin’s Hideaway has gained recognition among local drinkers and visitors alike. It was listed among nominees for “Best Cocktail Bar” in the 2024 Puerto Vallarta “Best of Gays” awards, and bartender Carlos Sanchez was voted Favorite Bartender in the Puerto Vallarta Gays 2025 awards.
Porras’s bar stands out for its intimate, cash‑only model and no‑frills ambiance. Built for conversation, cocktails and connection, the small rainbow‑colored venue draws guests into a friendly community atmosphere.
