Violinist and composer Geo Uhrich will return to the Puerto Vallarta music scene this week with the launch of a new weekly concert series at Bar Frida y Restaurante.
Beginning Thursday, Jan. 8, Uhrich will present “World of Music,” a live performance held every Thursday at 8 p.m. The concerts carry no cover charge and mark Uhrich’s return to a venue where he previously performed in 2021 and 2022.
Uhrich is best known locally as the founder and creative force behind Luna Rumba, a long-running world music project that blended violin, flamenco guitar, Latin rhythms and global influences. Over the years, Luna Rumba built a strong following throughout Puerto Vallarta and the greater Banderas Bay region.
The new series places Uhrich on a more intimate stage, showcasing his work as a solo artist while drawing from the musical styles that have defined his career. His performances combine violin with Latin, flamenco and Middle Eastern influences, alongside modern electronic elements.
Uhrich’s concerts blend a wide range of musical styles. The set list spans Latin rhythms, flamenco influences, Arabic melodic lines and techno-inspired sounds, reflecting Uhrich’s varied musical background.Bar Frida y Restaurante, located in the Zona Romántica, will host the concerts weekly.
