Broadway veteran Kevin Anthony will perform a benefit concert titled ELEVATED on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Teatro Vallarta. The event aims to raise funds for the Vallarta School for Girls (VSG), an institution providing free bilingual education and resources to underserved young women in the Banderas Bay area.
The performance marks a significant collaboration between international and local musical entities. Anthony, whose career includes Broadway credits in Miss Saigon, Dreamgirls, Grease, and Saturday Night Fever, will be accompanied by the Orquesta Sinfónica Vallarta (OSV). The OSV is an international ensemble comprising over 40 musicians from more than 10 countries, dedicated to cultural development and music education.
Adding a contemporary layer to the symphonic arrangements is the Roxsand Band, a local group known for its versatile repertoire ranging from rock to soul. This concert represents the first time these two distinct musical bodies have shared the stage for a full-scale production in Puerto Vallarta.
All proceeds from the event will support the Vallarta School for Girls. Founded in 2023, the school provides tuition-free education, meals, and supplies to over 40 students. The funds raised from ELEVATED are intended to assist the school’s ongoing campus expansion and the maintenance of its academic programs.
Featured Guest Artists
The program will include appearances by three prominent figures in the local and international music scenes:
- Effie Passero: A classically trained opera singer and former American Idol finalist (Season 16). Passero is known for her work with the global musical collective Postmodern Jukebox and her expansive vocal range across genres.
- Kim Kuzma: A staple of the Puerto Vallarta music scene. Kuzma has a career spanning several decades, performing internationally across Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the United States.
- Diego Guerrero: A classically trained vocalist and producer with a decade of experience in the local entertainment industry. Guerrero is recognized for his genre-blending projects and his role as the lead singer of “The Dirties.”
The production is helmed by Selena Luna Productions and is supported by sponsors including VillaTita, Out & About Puerto Vallarta, Matt Karimi & David Smith, and Donner & Asociados.
