Casa Cupula, the long-standing LGBTQ+ resort and entertainment venue in Puerto Vallarta, has announced its 2025–26 season, rolling out an expanded calendar of parties, dining experiences and holiday spectaculars designed to reinforce its status as a hub for queer tourism in the city.
The new season launches Oct. 11–12 with FUN WKND, a signature series that combines nightlife, performance and community celebration. Opening weekend features the NKD Pool Party on Saturday, followed by the Big Gay Drag Brunch starring the Cupula Dolls on Sunday.
Beginning Oct. 16, Casa Cupula will introduce “Thrifty Thursdays,” a weekly addition aimed at broadening access to its events. That weekend also marks the rollout of the full FUN WKND lineup, including Friday and Saturday pool parties, the Sunday drag brunch and a new Sunday T-dance.
The first major holiday activation arrives Oct. 30–Nov. 2 with a combined Halloween and Día de los Muertos program. The weekend will open with the inaugural “After Dark” dinner, a fine-dining show blending live music with a new regional tasting menu. Guest artist Diego Guerrero is set to headline the evening, bringing a mix of performance and culinary immersion to the venue’s Bistro Gallery.
“After Dark is meant to reimagine what a dinner show can be in Puerto Vallarta,” explained Brian Peters, events and entertainment director, citing candlelit settings and paired menus designed to create an atmosphere distinct from its daytime pool events.
Casa Cupula has built a following with its year-end holiday productions, and this season it is debuting “Snow & Blow,” a multi-day event positioned as the resort’s first annual holiday spectacular. The program promises tropical-inspired performances staged with snow effects — a novelty in Puerto Vallarta’s warm climate.
The resort said it has also invested in upgrades to its Pool Club stage, introducing new production and design elements “never before seen” in the city. The enhancements, along with property-wide improvements, are aimed at strengthening Casa Cupula’s competitive edge within Vallarta’s crowded hospitality and events market.
Founded in 2002, Casa Cupula has grown from a boutique gay guesthouse into a recognized LGBTQ+ resort that integrates a hotel, spa, gym, restaurant and performance venue. Its seasonal event programming has become a driver for both domestic and international tourism, particularly during peak months when visitors from North America and beyond converge on Puerto Vallarta.
“Casa Cupula has been hard at work bringing new ideas to life,” said Peters. “This year, we invite everyone to come and discover the joy of belonging — because Casa Cupula isn’t just a destination, it’s an experience.”
The schedule’s emphasis on themed weekends reflects a broader trend in Vallarta’s hospitality sector, where resorts and entertainment venues are increasingly relying on event-driven tourism to extend stays and increase guest spending. By anchoring its season with marquee events such as Halloween, Día de los Muertos and Christmas, Casa Cupula is positioning itself to capture travelers seeking both nightlife and cultural immersion.
With headline events, combined with guest-focused upgrades throughout the property, Casa Cupula continues to lead with creativity and innovation.
The season’s programming will run through spring 2026, with tickets available via Eventbrite and Casa Cupula’s website. The resort said early reservations are encouraged, particularly for limited-seating “After Dark” dinners and the holiday “Snow & Blow” production.
