Bar Frida 4.0 will soon open a new kitchen in the restaurant, Casa De Frida, consolidating operations and offering new menu options, along with long-time customer favorites.
For the past 13 years, the kitchen has been operated separately from the bar by Chef Alberto Cueva. Customers would receive two different checks if they ate from the kitchen. One from the bar and one from the kitchen.
Chef Cueva will close Frida’s Kitchen at Bar Frida 4.0 on May 18, 2025, and will be opening his business in a new location.
“With Frida’s Kitchen closing we will now consolidate the kitchen and the bar into one business,” said Tom Finley, owner. “That will result in one check for meals and drinks instead of separate checks as in the past.
The new kitchen at Bar Frida 4.0 will be called Casa de Frida. Laking said they will be revamping the menu, and “adding new dishes while maintaining the classics offered before.”
“We will continue to offer daily food and drink specials and look forward to a seamless transition,” he said. “We wish Chef Alberto Cueva all the best in his new endeavours with the new Frida’s Kitchen.”
