The second annual “An Evening of Stars” fundraiser for Women in Need (WIN) will take place on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 6 p.m. at Casa Karma in Conchas Chinas, Puerto Vallarta. All proceeds benefit Casa Esperanza, a local shelter providing safety and resources for women and children escaping domestic violence.
The event, themed “An Evening of Stars With a Silver Lining,” follows a sold-out debut last year and is presented by sponsor Stan Wagner of Puerto Vallarta Neurofeedback.
“When we lift women and children, we strengthen entire families and communities,” Wagner said. “Supporting Casa Esperanza aligns with our belief that healing and stability ripple outward—benefiting everyone.”
Performance Lineup
The fundraiser features live sets from four Puerto Vallarta entertainers donating their time to the cause:
- Amy Armstrong: A vocalist and comedian with a career spanning international stages and Chicago’s LGBTQ+ community.
- Gouda Gabor: A cabaret and comedy performer active in both Mexico and Canada.
- Sargento Dan: A musical theater performer and finalist in the RISE talent competition.
- Ada Vox: A vocalist and songwriter recognized as a finalist on American Idol and Queen of the Universe.
Event coordinator Joanne Jacobs explains, “Not only will you be in the company of four of Vallarta’s top entertainers, you’ll enjoy yourself doubly by knowing your ticket price goes directly toward aiding in the fight against domestic violence.”
According to Jacobs, funds from last year’s event maintained essential services including social workers, a teacher, a lawyer, and round-the-clock nursing care. The shelter receives only a fraction of what they need to operate each year from government funding, the rest must be raised.
“The proceeds of this event go directly to the shelter. Domestic abuse affects nearly 70 percent of all women in Mexico. Providing them with a safe place where they can receive medical care, legal help, social services and education is key in not only keeping them safe but also providing them with the tools they need to start a new life.”
