The Social Club, the live jazz music venue and speakeasy in Zona Romántica, has announced its 2025 fall-winter season, featuring an outstanding lineup of talented performers and exciting themes. The season’s start was recently highlighted by the unexpected and unique appearance of American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert at the venue earlier this month.
Adam Lambert Surprises Crowd
Adam Lambert, one of the most popular faces from the singing competition reality show American Idol, visited The Social Club on the evening of October 9. Lambert, who is openly gay, surprised customers, staff, and owners by taking the Red Room stage for an impromptu performance.
“We knew Adam was in town since we met some of his friends the night before at One Six One, but we didn’t expect to see him at The Social Club that evening. It was very exciting to see him there, joining the musicians and delighting everyone with his vocals,” said co-owner Brian Kent.

- The Nina Simone Experience
An electrifying blend of artistry and soul, this show will run every Saturday night at 7 p.m., opening October 25, 2025.
Presented by Jonny Paradiso, this is a spellbinding evening of jazz and activism that celebrates the legacy of Nina Simone. Created and directed by JT Horenstein — the visionary behind last year’s hit shows Burlesque: A Big Gay Musical Parody and A Bourbon Affair — the performance features music direction and piano by David Maiocco and stars the incomparable Shannon Maracle.

- A Bourbon Affair
A sultry night of forbidden jazz, champagne cocktails, and smoky glamour at The Social Club, opening November 27 and taking place every Thursday at 7 p.m.
This intimate show, another Jonny Paradiso Joint, is created, curated, and directed by JT Horenstein. It features Mark Hartman on piano (with David Maiocco playing in December) and stars the incomparable Qya Cristal, alongside Ada Vox, Shannon Maracle, and truly surprising special guests.

- Casino Royale: The Theme Songs of 007
This unforgettable 1920s-inspired jazz cabaret, also a Jonny Paradiso Joint, is written, created, and directed by JT Horenstein and musically arranged by Tony Kieraldo from Postmodern Jukebox. Shows run every Tuesday night at 7 p.m., opening January 13, 2026.
Casino Royale reimagines the music of James Bond through a smoky, decadent lens of love, power, and betrayal. Featuring powerhouse vocals from Ada Vox and Evita Loca, alongside pianist-singer and music director David Maiocco as a Bond-like narrator, this live jazz experience blends danger, glamour, and humor into an evening of timeless intrigue.
The audience becomes part of the casino—drawn into flirtation, betrayal, and a playful police raid, concluding with a red herring finale. The production’s cinematic atmosphere, world-class talent, and cheeky noir aesthetic make this a truly one-of-a-kind evening.

First Anniversary Circus Party
Owners Bryan Stocks, Brian Kent, and Roger Allen are hosting their first anniversary with a Circus-themed party at The Social Club on the evening of November 26. Guests will enjoy band singers, tarot card readings, magicians, and dancers.
Since opening on November 20, 2024, The Social Club has positioned itself as the premier venue for live jazz music in town. Open from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., this is one of the very few bars in town with a license to stay open that late—and it has no cover fee.
“We are proud and excited to be offering something different in the Romantic Zone—a venue for authentic live musicians and performers in a special, underground environment,” said Brian Kent.
The business partners also own local favorites One Six One (a house music lounge on Rodolfo Gómez Street), Brick Oven (a wood-fired pizza restaurant located downstairs from The Social Club), and The Porch (a vibrant and inviting breakfast restaurant located in Amapas).
