Editor’s note: In commemoration of ThrIVe MedSpa‘s fourth anniversary, which occurred on December 31, 2025, we invited its founder and owner, Mikel Álvarez, to reflect and offer a personal address to our readers regarding his company’s growth and vision. These are his words.
If you had told me four years ago that a tiny IV space on Basilio Badillo would grow into one of Puerto Vallarta’s most trusted wellness destinations — with a newly remodeled clinic (again), expanded medical and aesthetic services, more than 325 five-star reviews, and a major community award — I probably would’ve smiled and said, “Only in Vallarta.”
Yet here we are.
ThrIVe MedSpa officially turned 4 on December 31, and stepping into year five feels like stepping into our most exciting chapter yet. ThrIVe is also proud to be the recipient of the prestigious 2024 We Are Puerto Vallarta – Favorite MedSpa award, a recognition that means the world to us because it came directly from the community we love.
ThrIVe wasn’t born in a boardroom. It started with a moment — a heat stroke, a need, and a realization that Vallarta deserved a space where wellness was done with heart, professionalism, warmth, and honesty.
How It Started: A Spark in Vallarta
During the 2020–2021 heatwave, I needed an IV — badly. And as someone who has visited Vallarta for decades, I expected to find a proper medical-quality clinic. Instead, I found a gap. And that’s all it took. “If I need this, thousands of others do too.” From that moment, ThrIVe was born — one room, a handful of IV drips, and a mission to create a place where people feel cared for from the moment they walk in.
Four Years Later: Growth, Remodels & Big Glow-Ups
