The fall-winter 2025-2026 show season at the speakeasy-style bar, The Social Club, located in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone, kicked off with the opening night of “Nina Simone Experience,” performed by the talented Shannon Maracle.
Featuring the best songs from the legendary American singer, songwriter, and pianist, the show is an electrifying blend of art and soul, and will take place every Saturday night at 7 p.m. inside an intimate, dimly lit space, with a bar adjacent to the most original style of the original jazz establishments.
Presented by Jonny Paradiso and directed by JT Horenstein, it is an enchanting evening of music and activism that celebrates the legacy of Nina Simone. The performance also features musical direction and piano by David Maiocco.
Throughout the evening, Shannon Maracle interacted with the audience and offered important information about Simone’s life and legacy, as well as the motivations behind her lyrics and music.
