The Swedes Bar and Bistro will host a special benefit dinner on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, to raise funds for the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center, continuing a tradition that began with a successful event earlier this year.
The one-night-only event will feature a custom three-course prix fixe dinner priced at $850 pesos per person, with optional Mexican wine pairings for an additional $400 pesos. Two seatings — at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. — will accommodate a total of 60 guests, and a $200-peso deposit is required to reserve a table.
“Events like this show what makes Puerto Vallarta so special — people come together to celebrate and to give back,” said Matt Karimi, treasurer and board member of the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center. “Every peso raised helps us continue providing vital health and social services for our community.”
The Swedes, located at 154 Púlpito in the Zona Romántica, will donate 20% of all food and beverage sales from the entire day — not just dinner guests — to the Center. Regular patrons seated upstairs will also contribute through their purchases.
Guests are invited to enjoy cocktails or wine before dinner and stay to mingle to music from DJ VoidLove, who will spin from 6 to 9:30 p.m. The restaurant’s upstairs lounge will be open for socializing throughout the evening.
Matt said funds raised through the dinner will help support the Center’s growing slate of programs, including health screenings, counseling, and community outreach.
“Demand for our services continues to grow, and community partnerships like this one make it possible to meet those needs,” Matt said. “We’re grateful to The Swedes for their continued generosity and commitment.”
Cash payments are preferred for the event, and deposits for no-shows will be donated directly to the Center.
