Out & About PV (O&APV) is excited to introduce two key additions to our team: Max Buendía and Zack De La Cerda! They will help the team keep you updated on all the fun, gay happenings and news about Puerto Vallarta.
Originally from Mexico City, 27-year-old Max made Puerto Vallarta his home three years ago. He brings solid hospitality experience, having previously worked at the swimsuit boutique of the now-defunct Mercurio Hotel and at the Zona Romántica new bar, Banana Factory.
Max has joined the magazine as an assistant to O&APV Publisher Jerry Jones. In this role, he will be instrumental in organizing and hosting our signature Gay+ Mixers, which kick off on October 14, 2025, and run most Tuesdays through May 2026. He will also be delivering the print issue of O&APV to locations across the city, and keeping those locations stocked each month. You may also see Max out and about at social events taking photos.
When he’s not working, you can find this friendly, easy-going soul hanging out with friends, watching the sunset on the beach, hiking, or roller skating. Max also has an altruistic side: he’s currently growing out his hair to donate it to people living with cancer and he has contributed to the rehabilitation of green areas at the Isla del Río Cuale.
Originally from Monterrey, Zack De La Cerda is a customer service veteran with over 17 years of experience. He’s been based in Puerto Vallarta for the last five years and he has now joined O&APV to create lively Instagram reels and Tik Tok videos, ensuring the hottest guys, latest events and freshest news hit your feed.
By day, Zack also serves as a marketing assistant at the renowned gay hotel Casa Cúpula. But every Thursday, he transforms into an educator, offering free English classes at the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center.
Though an introvert at heart, Zack has truly mastered the art of being an on-camera extrovert. And his confessed guilty pleasures? A good cheeseburger and a hot GoGo dancer, any day of the week.
