Puerto Vallarta hotels can now operate at 75 percent capacity

The measure was taken by the Jalisco government health table to promote, responsibly, tourism activity

Hotels in Puerto Vallarta have been given the green light from government officials to now operate at 75 percent of their capacity in order to promote, responsibly, the tourist activity of the main destination in Jalisco.

The state government’s health board has promoted different measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic with the intention of reducing the contagion and hospitalization curves as much as possible , and in its most recent meeting, based on the results that have been obtained , the measure that favors the local tourism sector was taken.

In hotels  the following measures are applied:

Common areas in closed spaces must have a maximum capacity of 25 percent of the usable surface.
Common areas in open spaces – pools – must have a maximum capacity of 50 percent of the useful surface.
The capacity of the restaurants must be a maximum of 50% capacity , or a table yes and a table no.
Closed event rooms must use only 25% of the capacity,  up to a maximum limit of 200 people.

Measures were also announced for bars and clubs where the sanitary protocols validated by the Ministry of Health must be strictly applied . The capacity must be 25 percent, up to a maximum of 200 people. Once the capacity is completed, no one is allowed to enter even if space is freed.

With discipline in complying with these measures, Puerto Vallarta will continue to offer its wide range of hotels for all tastes, segments and budgets, its famous beaches, its magical sunsets, its tropical climate, a wide variety of tourist routes, as well as its renowned offer gastronomic.

DISCIPLINE IN THE PROTOCOLS

The case of Puerto Vallarta is considered successful in reducing the chain of infections, and as proof of this are the data shared by the Jalisco Health Secretariat, from October to November it was reduced by 57 percent here the number of infections.

During this year, we have learned to live with the preventive protocols of Covid-19 to offer a safe destination to visitors ,It has been possible to reduce the number of infections, so that motivates us to maintain the measures as has been done in a responsible manner by the entire tourism sector and the population, said Luis Villaseñor, interim director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Promotion and Advertising Trust.

It is noteworthy that national and international travelers keep Puerto Vallarta in their sights, only in   the first fortnight of December, the International Airport of this destination has scheduled the arrival of 673 flights, national and international , which represents an increase in 18% compared to the first fifteen days of November in which there were 639 operations, reported the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico.
